Reports

To generate statistics for the whole site, log in, select the site and click on the Site Optimizer menu on the sidebar. Click on the PDF or CSV link in the Overview page or click on the Reports button.

General Report

To generate site analysis, select the language and the export format (PDF or CSV) in the General Report table and click on the Generate button in the same table. The generated analysis will contain the following fields:

Name Description Value Suggestion
Site URL of the site. URL, Domain. Informational only.
URLs Defines the number of URLs in the site. Different URL types are indicated. For URL types see the notes below this table. List of positive and 0 integers. Informational only.
Sitemap File Number of pages in the /sitemap.xml file. Positive or 0 integer. Include all important pages into the sitemap.xml file.
Only with WWW Subdomain If this value is No, then the site can be reached via the www subdomain and without that as well. For example, http://www.wyoseo.com/ and http://wyoseo.com/ give the same result. Otherwise this value is Yes. Yes or No. Informational only. Use this information to set the crawler options.
SEO Friendly URLs Indicates the number of SEO friendly URLs. It is SEO friendly, if it contains only letters, numbers and special characters: ‘-,_,/’. Positive or 0 integer. Use keywords in the URL and avoid parameters, such as ?page=1234.
Robots File Links to the robots.txt file, if exist. Link. Create a robots.txt file if does not exist.
Google Analytics Code Indicates whether Google Analytics code are installed in the site or not. Set or Not Set. Set means that Google Analytics is installed. WyoSEO suggest installing Google Analytics code, because Google provides detailed statistics about visits and visitors.
Site Size Size of analyzed pages with HTML content. Byte. Less than 100 000 bytes / page is suggested. The average is 5 000 – 25 000 bytes / page. Avoid from long pages.
Site Depth Maximum number of levels in the site. Level 0 is the homepage, and all pages below are calculated through the shortest path. Positive or 0 integer. Try to keep the architecture as flat as possible, but avoid from long pages.
Top Levels Number of pages on the first 3 levels. Homepage is level 0 and contains 1 page always List of positive or 0 integers. Try to keep the architecture as flat as possible, but avoid from long pages.
HTTP Status Code Number of pages with different HTTP status codes. For more information, see RFC 2616. List of positive or 0 integers. List of the number of pages with specific HTTP status codes. Informational only. Try to reach 200 Ok for all pages or use 301 redirect if necessary.
W3C Recommendation Number of pages that contains W3C recommendation. Positive or 0 integer. All pages shall contain W3C recommendation.
W3C Compatibility Number of pages that contains errors or warnings. Aborted means that some pages were unable to analyze. This feature is under development. List of positive or 0 integers. Informational only, because this feature is under development. Correct all errors and warnings.
Average Length Average length of the title tag, description and keywords meta tags in characters. List of positive or 0 integers. Try to reach 50-60 characters for title and 140-150 for description meta tag in each page with low deviation.

Use only the keywords in keywords meta tag that are relevant to the appropriate page.

Average Relevancy Average relevancy of the title tag, description and keywords meta tags. List of integers between 0-100, indicate percentage. Try to reach 85-100% for title and 70-100% for description meta tag in each page with low deviation.

For keywords only 100% can be accepted.

Images Number of images found in the site.

No alt: img tags that do not contain alt parameters.

Empty alt: img tags that contain alt parameter, but it is not filled out.

Long alt: img tags that contain alt parameter, but it is too long.

List of positive or 0 integers. Describe with text including keywords what is in the picture.
Style Elements Number of style tags and style parameters in the site. List of positive or 0 integers. Include as much formatting descriptions into CSS files as possible.
Highlights Number of highlighted text tags. Highlighted text can be strong(<strong>), bold (<b>) emphasized (<em>) and italic (<i>). List of positive or 0 integers. Informational only. Highlight can help reading long texts. Put some keywords into <strong> and <em> tags. Search engines consider these texts more.
Frames Number of frameset, frame and inline frame tags in the site. List of positive or 0 integers. Deprecated layout feature. Only 0 can be accepted.
Table and Div Tags Ratio of the table and div tags per page. List of positive or 0 float numbers. Use div based page layout instead of table based. Try to keep table ratio low.
Incorrect Heading Order Number of pages with incorrect heading order. Positive or 0 integer. Important rules:

Use only one h1 tag / page.

After a hX tag use hX+1 OR
After a hX tag use h(X-N) tag, where N < X

Where X,N are integers and 1 <= X,N <= 6

Average Script/Code Ratio Average ratio of the script length and code length. Float, between 0-1. 0.25 means that the 1/4 is the script and 3/4 is the other part of the code. Keep this ratio as low as possible. If scripts are necessary, include only the reference and put the code to an external file.
Average Text/Code Ratio Average ratio of the useful content. Float, between 0-1. 0.25 means that the 1/4 is the content and 3/4 is the code excluding text. Values are categorized as follows:

Tcr < 0.1 : Low

0.1 < Tcr < 0.2 : Poor

0.2 < Tcr < 0.3 : Acceptable

0.3 < Tcr < 0.4: Good

Tcr > 0.4: Excellent

Good and Excellent should be reached.

Text/Code Ratio Summary of the ratio of the useful content. List of positive or 0 integers. Good and Excellent should be reached.
Links Number of internal and external links. List of positive or 0 integers. Informational only.
WSc WyoSEO Score. Indicates the optimization of the site. Integer between 0-100.

0-70: Low
71-85: Medium
86-94: High
95-100: Excellent

Try to reach high WSc. 95-100 is excellent.

Notes for URLs, list of URL types:

  • Page: Indicates the number of pages with HTML content. Only these URLs were analyzed.
  • Binary: URLs that are not images, not ignored and not HTML pages.
  • Image: URLs that are marked as images.
  • Error: Crawler error. Crawler error could be triggered:
    1. URL not found. If the URL was not found, an error occurs.
    2. Analyzation error: The page was found, but could not be analyzed. It can happen for example if the HTML code contains too many errors.
  • Ignored: URLs that match the Ignored regexp.
  • Unknown: Usually, this type occurs, when the limit was increased and new pages are added, but no structure update was run.
  • Redirect: Number of external redirects. E.g.:  http://wyoseo.com/fredir.htm is redirected to http://aabbccdd.com/aabbcc.htm (domain is different)
  • Crawling: Number of pages under crawling.
  • All: Total number of analyzed URLs.

Keyword Analysis

To generate keyword analysis, set the parameters in the Keyword Analysis table:

  • Language: Language of the analysis.
  • Type: Type of the representation (CSV, PDF).
  • Keywords in a Keyphrase: Number of words included in a keyphrase.
  • Keywords Display: Number of keywords displayed in the analysis.
  • First Keyword: Starting keyword position in the analysis.

Click on the Generate button to show the keyword analysis. This contains the following information:

Order Indicates the relevancy ranking. Positive integer. Ordered.
Num Number of occurrences of the keyword in the site. Positive integer. Search engines take into account the keyword ranking. The most important keywords shall be on the top positions.
Keyword/Kw The keyword. Text.
Text[%] Keyword/text ratio in percentage. Float between 0-100, indicates percentage. Search engines take into account in site ranking. The most important keywords shall reach appropriate values. Avoid from keyword stuffing. This value shall be lower than 10%.
Code[%] Keyword length/code ratio. Float between 0-100, indicates percentage. Search engines take into account in site ranking. The most important keywords shall reach appropriate values. Avoid from keyword stuffing. This value shall be lower than 5%.
