Selector is a page search solution, developed by WyoSEO. Selector can help finding pages based on specific search criteria. These criteria could be parameters that describe pages, e.g. Title Relevancy, HTTP Status Code, etc. In addition, Selector can help searching errors, such as duplicate content.
To use Selector, log into Wyolyzer or click on the Wyolyzer menu on the Wyolyzer menu bar, select a site, and then click on the Site Optimizer menu on the sidebar. Click on the Selector button. Selector is an intelligent search engine that is capable to search pages based on specific criteria, such as duplication, errors, etc. Selector can be used to select pages to examine, compare or recrawl. To start searching, click on a command from the table on the top or enter the command into the text field, and then click on the Search button.
Selector provides the following search options:
Keyword Search: Searching for pages that contains a specific keyword or its variant.
Parameter Search: Searching for pages that satisfies one or more search criteria.
Mixed Search: Searching for pages that satisfies one or more criteria and contains a specific keyword or its variant.
Before searching the following options can be enabled:
Design: Shows an extra row with design view options for each pages.
Density: Lists the top 5 keywords or the searched keywords for each page.
Results Per Page: Number of results presented in the next search on one result page.
Results always include the following columns:
Title: Content of the title tag of the page.
URL: URL of the page/image/document.
Link: Link to the page.
PWSc: Page WyoSEO Score that reflects the optimization of the page.
Co: Compared status. Select the pages wanted to compare, and then click on the Add Selectedbutton. If a page is added to the compared list, it is not possible to select the page to compare again. Selected pages are indicated by dashes. To remove pages from the comparison list, go to Comparator.
Re: Recrawl status. Select the pages wanted to recrawl, and then click on the Add Selected button. If a page is under recrawling, it is not possible to start recrawling again. Note that, the page does not refresh automatically, so to check recrawl status, refresh the page or go to the Crawler page.
Results may include other columns depending on the search criteria.
Results can be ordered by parameters clicking on the result table header. For example, title can be ordered by clicking on the Title text in the header of the result table.
Design view allows the user making notes, which can be used to indicate the list of wanted keywords, for each page. This can be used later to compare the wanted keywords to the existing ones.
To enable Design view, select the Design checkbox in Selector.
If design view is enabled, then an extra row will be added after each page. This row contains four links:
Edit: Click on the Edit link to edit notes. To save a note, click on the Update button. To discard changes, click on the Cancel button.
Kw1: Lists the 1 word length keywords of the page in a new window.
Kw2: Lists the 2 words length keywords of the page in a new window.
Kw3: Lists the 3 words length keywords of the page in a new window.
Notes will be available for any searches that results the page, if Design view is enabled. Notes can be shown in Designeras well.
Density Search
If Density Search is enabled, then a keyword density list will be available in the result page for each result. To enable Density Search, select the Density checkbox, and then click on the Search button. To change the order of the results, click on the Text[%] link in the Keyword Density Table. The Keyword Density Table parameters are described in Keyword Analysis section in Reports Help Page.
Note that, Density Search is not available for error detection searches.
